Who we are
This website is operated by CASIR, a company pending registration. It is the data controller for the information described below. Contact: privacy@casir.org
What we collect, and why
Contact form
If you use the form, we receive your name, email address, organisation, the subject you select, and your message. We use this only to reply to you and, for partnership or funding inquiries, to continue that conversation.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries addressed to us (and, where you ask about a partnership or funding, steps taken at your request before a possible agreement). Please do not include sensitive personal data in your message.
If you write to contact@casir.org, privacy@casir.org or press@casir.org, we receive your address and what you send, and use it only to respond.
Server logs
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., a Microsoft company). Like any web host, GitHub processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type when pages are served, for security and operation. We do not have access to visitor-level logs or run any analytics.
Cookies and local storage
casir.org sets no cookies and has no advertising or analytics trackers. Your browser's session storage holds temporary page-position data to make navigation work; it never leaves your device and is cleared when you close the tab.
Who receives your information
Formspree, Inc. (United States) processes contact form submissions on our behalf and emails them to us. It also logs technical data such as your IP address and browser type when you submit the form. See formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Google LLC (Google Workspace) hosts our mailboxes, where form notifications and emails are stored.
GitHub, Inc. serves the website, as described above.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose it if legally required.
International transfers
Formspree, Google and GitHub are based in the United States. Google and GitHub are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension (the UK-US data bridge). Formspree, which is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States, relies on Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for details at privacy@casir.org.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are stored by Formspree for up to 30 days, after which Formspree deletes them from its archive. Notification emails and our replies stay in our Google Workspace mailboxes: for 12 months after our last exchange with you, or 24 months for funding and partnership conversations. We then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your data, or object to our use of it, by emailing privacy@casir.org. We will respond within one month.
